Holiday greetings to all!! The Christmas season is here and the St. Edward Band has a very busy month before us. Below is the schedule of rehearsals and performances for the month of December along with other pertinent information that you may need. Please contact me via school email with any questions. Here is the schedule for the next three weeks:
Tuesday, December 3-Advanced Band rehearsal until 4:00 pm, Music Room
Thursday, December 5-Beginner Band rehearsal until 4:00 pm, Music Room
Tuesday, December 10-Advanced Band rehearsal until 4:00 pm, Music Room
Thursday, December 12-Beginner Band rehearsal until 4:00 pm, Music Room
Monday, December 16-Advanced & Beginner Band joint rehearsal until 4:15 pm, Music Room
Tuesday, December 17-Advanced & Beginner Band joint rehearsal until 4:15 pm, Music Room with Alumni members
Wednesday, December 18-Band Christmas Concert at 1:30 pm, Cafeteria
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
School Christmas Concert-Advanced and Beginner Bands will play for the school in the Cafeteria at 1:30 pm. Parents are invited. STUDENTS SHOULD WEAR THEIR UNIFORM TO SCHOOL THAT MORNING. The concert will conclude at 2:00 pm.
Band Uniform-All new girl students have been measured for uniforms and those will be distributed after rehearsal on Thursday, December 5. PLEASE TRY THEM IMMEDIATELY! If uniforms do not fit WE MUST KNOW BY TUESDAY, DECEMBER 10!! Boy’s bowties will be distributed Thursday, December 5 after rehearsal. Boys need black dress pants and a white long sleeved dress shirt. All students should wear black shoes. Boots are okay but NO HIGH HEELS! Returning members who requested new uniform parts will get them after school on Tuesday, December 3 also. PLEASE TRY THEM ON TONIGHT! All students need a PLAIN RED SANTA HAT. No names, glitter, sequins, etc . UNIFORMS MUST BE WORN FOR ALL PERFORMANCES.
