The St. Edward the Confessor Band will meet on Tuesdays during the second semester. This is for ALL band students. Beginning in February we will meet in small groups on Thursdays. All flute, clarinet and saxophone players will meet with Group 1. All trumpet, French horn, trombone and tuba players will meet with Group 2. All drummers, bell players and piano players will meet with Group 3. Here is the schedule: Group 1-February 7, March 14, April 4 & May 2 Group 2-February 14, March 21, April 11 & May 9 Group 3-February 21, March 28, April 25 & May 16

Great news! St. Edward the Confessor Chorale has been invited to once again participate with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra on their Yuletide Celebration! The performance will be at the Pontchatrtain Center on Thursday, December 13, 2018. The concert begins at 7:30 pm and we will rehearse with the orchestra at 6:30 pm. Students will need to report to the lobby of the Pontchartrain Center by 6:15 pm. Information on how to purchase discount tickets for family members will be forthcoming. Since we are adding this performance we will need to alter our rehearsal schedule. Here is the new practice and performance schedule for November & December: November 7-Rehearsal until 3:45 pm November 12-Rehearsal until 4:00 pm November 14-Rehearsal until 4:00 pm November 26-Rehearsal until 4:00 pm November 28-Rehearsal until 4:00 pm December 3-Rehearsal until 4:00 pm December 5-Rehearsal until 3:45 pm December 7-Performance at Celebration in the Oaks@ 8:00 pm. Report time is 7:45 pm December 10-Rehearsal until 4:00 pm December 12-Rehearsal until 4:00 pm December 13-Performance with the LPO at the Ponchartrain Center @ 7:00 pm. Report time is 6:15 pm December 21-Performance for the school in the Cafeteria @10:00 am. It's very important that all students attend all rehearsals as our practice time is limited.
